Let us look at some of the top social media influencers in Zimbabwe. The focus in this article is DJs, television or radio presenters, music producers and so on. We are basically looking at personalities that are actively involved in the music and media industries (excluding the musicians). In the other article on comedians social media influencers we explored the different types of influencers. Here we shall be looking at personalities that have at least 100 000 followers on any social media platform. Here are the top eleven, arranged by the number of followers:

Affectionately known as just Tilder, her full name is Tilder Moyo Karizamimba. She is a radio personality who is a presenter at Star FM. Radio shows she is popular for are The Tilder Show, Secrets and Confessions, and Couples’ Hour. She also hosts a prisons programme called Second Chance. Back in the day she was a presenter for the popular Ezomgido. Prior to being at Star FM she used to be at Radio Zimbabwe. She has a prolific radio presenting career spanning many years. She is also the founder of Tilder Foundation Trust. Its main thrust is to help women, children, and youths through addressing issues such as gender-based violence, rape, child abuse, poverty, drug, substance abuse.

She is a radio personality being a producer/presenter of the 263Express on Star FM. KVG is also a serial brand ambassador. Her real name is Kudzai Violet Gwara. She is the brand ambassador for many local enterprises namely Proton Bakers, Bellevue, West Property Zimbabwe, Chicken Slice, Koovha Beverages, Kuva Local, Queen Diva Hair Boutique, Felicity Solar, and Ring Driving School.

Her real name is Samantha Musa. She is a radio personality popularly known for hosting the Drive Time slot on ZiFM Stereo. She is also a television personality and digital entrepreneur. She is the author of her own book titled Be Faithful To Your Happiness. She is also the founder of Red Market Sunday. Red Market Sunday is an online market initiative where small businesses and startups by young people are exposed to potential customers through her IG platform.
4. DJ Fantan Chillspot

His real name is Arnold Kamudyariwa and he is a music producer. He is a co-founder and manager at Chillspot Records. He has done several mixtapes and music productions over the years. He has been with Chillspot Records since it started 10 years ago.

Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa is daughter to the former Minister of Health, David Parirenyatwa. She is a radio and television personality notably known for hosting talk shows. She is also a moderator, MC and a voice over artist. Ruvheneko is also a brand ambassador and actively involved in charitable activities. Speaker, consultant, and digital strategist also fall under her many labels.
6. DJ Rimo Jackson

Dj Rimo was well known as one of the late Ginimbi’s best friends. His real name is Tinotenda Marimo and co-owner of NR Entertainment. NR entertainment is an entertainment enterprise which DJ Rimo co-directs. He used to own a boutique called Rimo’s.

He has also received a number of national awards, some of which were from National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) and Star FM Awards.

He stepped into the limelight through a hip-hop movement called TeamBho. DJ Towers has often been mischaracterized as a beggar and bootlicker. However, he categorizes all he does as marketing which he says has earned him various deals with local enterprises.

She is currently a presenter at Star FM but has worked at ZiFM Stereo and ZBC before.
