Born in 1972 in Sakubva, Mutare, Supa Mandiwanzira began his carrier in the Media industry working at the Herald Newspaper in 1994. This was after he had finished Journalism at Harare Polytechnic. In 1995, he moved to ZBC TV where he worked as a business report and news anchor. He later moved to the United Kingdom where he worked  for BBC World Radio service and obtained a Masters Degree in International Journalism with the City University of London. 

Supa Mandiwanzira owns AB Communications, which is one of the largest media companies in Zimbabwe founded in 2001. His company has several radio stations in Zimbabwe, including the national radio station ZIFM, 98.4 Midlands FM (for Midlands region) and Hevoi FM (for Masvingo province). The other subsidiaries of AB Communications include Mighty Movies (a video production company),  Business Times (a weekly business newspaper), Six Finger Records (Music Record & Promotion Company)

Supa Mandiwanzira is also a politician, being a member of Parliament for Nyanga South under Zanu PF. He was the minister of Information Communication Technology and Cyber Security Minister from 2014-2018. He is also a former president of the Affirmative Action Group, which is a black business empowerment group.
