We are about to step into the final 2 months of 2022. These are the kind of times when you begin to reflect on how the year has been. It is also the time to start projecting and planning the year 2023. Possibly right now, there are still many things you have not achieved for this year. You might have already given up thinking that, well, the year is almost done. I want you to start thinking differently about that. This coming November and December can be more than enough to achieve lots of things. To help you with that, here is how you can get the best out of the final 2 months of 2022.
Stricter Time Management
You are going to have to become stricter with your time from now on. For starters, you are going to have to wake up much earlier than before. This also implies that you must sleep early too. That way, you will still get enough sleep despite waking up early. Having a structured list of things you do in a day is now more important. Those items must be attached to time slots and have reasonable breaks in between. This essentially means anything you set out to do must have a definite timeline. That way, you can closely operate based on a clear schedule. Do not let any time go to waste; strictly manage your time.
Narrow Down Your Focuses To A Few High-Priority Ones
Often time you fail to accomplish anything because you handling too many things. When you objectively assess what you are doing, you can notice stuff that is not important. What is it that you really focus on? Where is most of your time spent? Evaluate the material value of all those things and prioritize them accordingly. This means you have to get rid of certain low-value things you have been doing. For instance, maybe you have been spending too much time on entertainment. Maybe you have been spending too much time on social activities. It is time to take stock and only focus on a few high-priority things.
Make Daily Contributions To Your Goals
The basic principle here is to contribute at least 1 percent to a goal every day. Let us suppose you want to study or write a book; the idea is to do at least 1 page daily. Maybe you want to work on your physical body and do at least one full workout daily. The power behind this is that you can increment once your daily habits are locked in. This means after one week; it starts getting easier to increase from just a 1 percent contribution.
All these daily contributions compound with time. Using this framework, you can finish writing or reading a book in less than a month. You can transform your physical body in just a month by doing this. The beauty of it is that you will not feel overwhelmed because you make tiny daily contributions. Imagine doing this for 60 days; your life will get somewhere, no doubt.
Review Everything You Are Doing More Frequently
The mistake you might have been making all year round was to live blindly. What I mean is that you might have lived from day to day without stopping to review your life. Such reviews involve assessing to figure out what is working and what is not. The thrust will be to enhance what is working and tweak or eliminate what is not. This is something that ought to be done as frequent as possible – daily, preferably.
That way, you quickly notice certain things before they take root. I can liken it to a scenario where you are filling a bathtub with water. You have to make incessant checks to ensure the water does not spill over. If the intervals between your checks become too spaced, you risk finding a spillover too late. That is the basic principle behind my emphasis on making daily reviews of all that you are doing.
Surround Yourself With Valuable People Only
One thing many people tend to forget or not know is that your network is your net worth. In other words, the people you surround yourself with greatly affect how you turn out. The more you spend time with someone, the more you assimilate their mindset and habits. That is not necessarily bad; rather, it is an issue when their mindset and habits are bad. That is why you have to surround yourself with only high-value people deliberately. This can necessitate cutting ties with certain people in your life right now. It can feel uncomfortable, but it is necessary if you are to get the best out of November and December.
Deep Work – Adopt It Like Never Before
I have discussed the subject of deep work before. You now have to adopt it like never before. Deep work is a concept where you set aside a number of fixed hours in your day where you work uninterrupted. During those hours, you block any possible distractions. It depends from person to person, but it is mostly the first hours of the day for me. For me, it is usually 5 or so hours. I can either do that from 6 am to 11 am or from 9 am to 1 pm. Then if I have more work to do, I find time from 4 pm to 6 pm.
These are the 6 things you must do to maximize November and December 2022. Objectively speaking, 60 days is long enough to achieve great and many things. Starting planning now so that when the time comes, you will be good to go. Let us make November and December 2022 the most productive time in our lives ever this year.
