Have you ever heard about co-working spaces or hubs? These are premises that provide working space for small enterprises, freelancers, and employees in general. The idea of co-working means that people from different contexts get to work in the same space sharing the same resources. The concept of co-working spaces is relatively new – it has only been in existence for roughly 10 or so years. Co-working spaces or hubs are becoming big businesses due to their rising popularity. These spaces or hubs earn the majority of their money from rentals that people pay. In this article, I am sharing with you some of the notable co-working spaces or hubs in Zimbabwe. You will get a good hang of what co-working spaces or hubs areas I discuss.

Tech Hub Harare

Tech Hub Harare is one of the popular, if not, most popular co-working spaces or hubs in Zimbabwe. It was even the only Zimbabwean enterprise nominated in the recent concluded Southern Africa Startup Awards. It was nominated under the Best Co-working Space category. They have a hot desk, training rooms, event areas, and workshop areas. They also provide incubation, mentorship, and training services to budding startups. B2C Co-Working Space

B2C co-working space is located at Batanai Gardens, corner Jason Moyo Avenue and First Street. It is a business accelerator and incubator which offers entrepreneurial services for budding startups and those looking to re-invent themselves. They provide you with the space, community, and services that are useful to startups development. Some of the equipment you get access to our printers, photocopiers, and scanners. Wi-Fi is also available as well as refreshments and air-conditioning.

These are some of the notable co-working spaces you can consider in Zimbabwe. I must say that there is a need for the emergence of more such spaces or hubs. For now, most of them are mainly located in the capital and yet there is a need for them to be everywhere. I would also like to encourage budding startups or businesses to start considering using co-working spaces or hubs. Using them has a huge benefit of reducing overhead costs especially when you are just starting. Then there is also the benefit of networking as you get to meet other entrepreneurs and potential investors at such places.
