It is one of the several AI innovations made by and for Zimbabweans. From the looks of things, we are going to continue to see more coming out. Suffice it to say Zimbabwe is becoming better positioned when it comes to the latest trends. Today the focus is on one of such AI innovations emerging from Zimbabwe. This is ZivAI, an AI chat assistant.
What Or Who Is ZivAI?

Who Is Behind ZivAI?
Kuda Musasiwa and his team are the one behind ZivAI. You may know him from his startup, Fresh In A Box. There is also DanAI, which is another AI chatbot they have developed. ZivAI is more inclined to or focused on the Zimbabwean context. DanAI is more focused on Africa as a whole. The motivation behind building ZivAI is obvious. Zimbabwe is not eligible to access the likes of ChatGPT 4. That is why alternatives have become necessary. At least OpenAI does allow some room for alternatives to be backed by ChatGPT 4.

I have been using ZivAI for a brief while and I am impressed by its features and general smoothness. Under the Chat feature, you have 6 functions you can choose from; these are:

This is open-ended, you can enter a question on anything and you will get a response in a matter of seconds.
Ask ZivAI Co-Pilot Anything
On this one, you can get ZivAI to help you do or work on something together.
Ask ZivAI To Make An Image
There are more than 15 options to choose from e.g. Enhance, Anime, Fantasy Art, Digital Art, and so on. Thus you choose an image from your gallery and choose the conversion theme you want.
Can You Please Provide A Summary Of This Document?
By choosing this option you are redirected to your internal storage to choose a PDF you want summarized. It is remarkable the accuracy of the summaries you get. Plus this summarization occurs at a super-fast pace.
Ask Your Document Anything
There is also this other option where you can ask any question pertaining to a PDF document. If the question is with regards to the PDF document’s subject matter you will get a response. It is an interesting feature because it is as if you are conversing with the document.

How Good Is ZivAI?
The reviews of the app are demonstrating how good the app is so far. I personally have used ZivAI and I have been stunned by great the platform is. The user interface is quite sleek and ergonomic. The user experience is really good as well. Especially when your internet connectivity is optimal, the user experience is even smoother.

The app was released on the 4th of June 2023. For Android users, it requires Android 5.0 and up. The ZivAI is also available in the Apple store. It is currently undergoing beta testing which is why there are frequent updates to the app. You can and must download the app, try out the new features and give feedback to the developer. The app gets better the more people use it and the more frequently they use it. That is why it would be great to try it out and let others know as well.
