So recently I wrote two articles on movies and TV shows entrepreneurs must watch. As an entrepreneur, you must imbibe as much knowledge as you can because your transformation is borne out of a renewed mind. Today I am discussing Facebook pages that entrepreneurs should follow. Each page carries its own content and uniqueness so I would advise you to follow these pages.

Strive Masiyiwa

For starters, I know some people might probably not like him being mentioned here especially given the Econet woes currently rocking the nation. However, his Facebook page is a wealth of knowledge and there is a lot to be learnt from it. Often times when learning things in life you must be objective and focus on the knowledge apart from the person. There is no doubt about how impactful this Facebook page has been to people across the world. The fact that the page is followed by over 4 million people is a testament to that. There two major reasons why you should follow this page; the first one pertains to the content that holds lots of insights regarding entrepreneurship.

The second one is about how Mr Masiyiwa runs his page – there are huge lessons to draw from that. In 2018 his page was ranked the best Facebook page in the world due to its high number of engagements. Out of 20 000 influential business Facebook pages chosen, his page emerged top of the list with over 63 million engagements (likes, comments, shares and so on) and of the 500 top posts analysed, 34 of his posts were part of that list. Definitely this shows you that there are things you can learn on how to drive engagements for your Facebook platform.

Kuda Musasiwa

Kuda Musasiwa is one of the founders and CEO of Fresh In A Box. Fresh In A Box is a business that was started in 2018 (24 October to be exact) by Kudakwashe Musasiwa and Rufaro Dhliwayo. Delivering fresh vegetables in a box to customers was their basic idea. They started off with just fresh farm produce but they have diversified into other fast-moving consumer goods. Other product sets that are now included are alcohol and beauty items.

His is a general Facebook profile so you can request him as a friend (though I would encourage him to have an active personal page). Anyways, why must you be connected with him on Facebook? One, you will learn a lot about problem-solving when running a business. Two, you will learn a lot about engaging the public on social media. Three, you will also learn a lot about using your business influence to make a positive difference in society. When you go through his posts you will see a recurrence of these 3 themes I have mentioned plus more.

Tinashe Mutarisi

He is the name behind the renowned Nash Paints. Most of the times when I have heard people comment about Nash Paints outlets is on how excellent their premises and service delivery is. His business is a perfect reflection of how you can start a reputable local business (just like Fresh In A Box I mentioned earlier). Anyways, the reasons why you must follow his page are more or less like those for Kuda Musasiwa’s page. It is remarkable how these respected entrepreneurs humbly engage with the public on Facebook. In fact, one of the most common compliments on Tinashe Mutarisi is his humility which is evident in person and also on Facebook. Take time to follow and go through his posts, no matter how trivial you think some of them might be, there are nuggets to draw from them.

There are many more pages that can be useful for entrepreneurs but I handpicked these ones for your consideration. I would also encourage local entrepreneurs to work towards coming up with highly followed pages for entrepreneurs. Why am I saying this? The most notable somewhat local page is Strive Masiyiwa’s when it comes to followers (over 4 million). The last 3 pages I mentioned have over 5 million, 13 million and 4.5 million followers respectively. So I believe both the local public and business entities have roles to play in growing the participation of people on social media.
